Whether you call it barbecuing or grilling, there is nothing better on a summer day than enjoying a cool beverage while sitting outside and having a casual meal cooked outside. I will show you how to cook appetizers, salad, dinner and dessert all outside on your grill. No heating up your kitchen and no one is stuck inside while everyone enjoys the beauty of summer.

There are five sections that can be intermingled to create almost a month’s worth of delicious, outdoor meals:

  • Tips and Techniques – From equipment to make grilling easier to food safety, this is all the info you will need to get started.

  • Main Dish Components – Each  section outlines the specific techniques necessary for the different types of proteins or other main dish components including veggies and grilled pizzas.

  • Flavoring Agents – Most of these can be made in advance on a weekend and be refrigerated for about a week or frozen for up to three months. Spice rubs will store indefinitely in the pantry with the exception of Lemon which needs to be stored in the fridge.

  • Side Dishes – In order to make a complete meal, you will find easy side dishes that can either be made ahead or made right on the grill while main dish rests after grilling.

  • Desserts and Drinks – Every backyard barbecue needs a good dessert and of course the “Chillin’” component of a good cocktail or “mocktail”
